Rosie is a versatile performer, executing her skills with a sense of fun and grace, both in the air and on the ground. She specialises in aerial hoop, with additional experience in aerial silks, rope, contortion and dance. She performs mesmerising aerial and ground-based acts, displaying agility and originality, while being consistently entertaining. Originally trained as a dancer, Rosie also has a First class degree in English Literature from the University of Sussex. She was an active performer, choreographer, and director in the university's Drama and Musical Theatre societies. She increased her natural flexibility through dynamic yoga practises. In 2006 she trained at the Astanga Yoga Research Institute in India, and studied Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form. Subsequently, she joined the Corfu City Dancers, and it was a fellow dancer in Corfu who inspired her interest in acrobatics. Back in London, Rosie studied Dance-Based Acrobatics at The Circus Space. She became entranced by the art of Circus, and in July 2010 completed 3 years full-time training for a BA degree in Circus Arts. Alongside her performance career, Rosie has over ten years' experience teaching dance, performing arts and related subjects to children and adults. She currently teaches "Bend it Like Barbie", a stretch class tailored specially for Frame Studios in Shoreditch, and is a Teaching Apprentice at The Circus Space. During school holidays she leads "Introduction to Circus Skills" workshops as part of the Tricycle Theatre's Social Inclusion programme. She continues to choreograph and teach dance routines and is available for private tuition and public functions.
